that´s pity, be sure to try it later, if you´re a Maya freak,
right now I have read about the Surface Luminance Node, there are some cool things that you can do with it...
(syntetik is going to sleep now)

Hi all,
Oooppss, seems like I forgot to update the last update!!
I correct this righ now.
Yes, the last entry concerns a surfaceLuminance new tip: how to make an light link with this node.
I have finish 2 new scripts: colorRamp and velvetTexture
The first is a connection network that creates a ramp to control exactly how the color spreads over a surface according the lighting (light orientation), and its normals.
This script replaces the hs_velvet which is out of date and very trickky to manage.
The second (velvetTexture), is based on the first script's shading network and allow the user to desaturate / saturate a given texture.
I have developped them when I did the animation 'Waiting for Auriane'. They are both used to give a velvet look to my materials.
They should be online as soon as I'll finished to write the docs, but don't be afraid, I'll keep you all posted!!
Stay tuned folks
Emmanuel

oh hi!!
what a surprise, I was just talking here about your work.
keep up good work Mr. Campain!!
..I must say that you´re one of those people who show, how much can be done with Maya Rendering Engine (and for less money usually).
I´ve started learning this software a year ago (switched from max) and when I saw its render, it looked very rough to me. I didn´t expect at all what can be done with it. Now when I want to broaden my knowledges about rendering, I go to PIXHO, simply.
