Sketched in OpenCavas w/wacom tablet; Imported into XaraX for tracing and inking; Finally pulled into GIMP for resizing/postprocess.
Total time: 2.5 hours.
I haven't used XaraX for some time, so I thought this would be an interesting project to brush the dust off.
"Gettting used to visualizing vector fills is quite a shift in thinking", I mumbled to myself after the 17th time of retracing the outlines...

Goro -- of course you wouldn't know :] I did it rather recently (two months or so ago) and I don't post pictures of myself a lot clickety (http://www.furiae.com/images/braids.jpg), here's what it looks like now (in profile anyway, I'm redoing the braids again on Monday... I think I'll go with more red this time.). Are you going to SIGGRAPH again this year? :]

well...still don't know about siggraph...I'm almost done with my studies at the German Film School. I'll have my thesis presentation on Thursday next week and then I'm done!
So there will be a lot of change in my life in the next few months. Don't know where I'm gonna be. So if I earn enough money hehe maybe I'll go to siggraph...but who knows ;)

Squibbit,
God only knows what is in Enayla's hair, but one thing is for certain. It is very easy to see why she has a leg up on painting attractive women. I guess I should work on my slightly balding, pasty, overweight white guy pics. Somehow I doubt it will have the same basic appeal though. Here's to hoping! I guess we also know why most people from Sweden don't post pics of themselves, same reason Brad Pitt doesn't get to do adds in Maylasia (or was it Indonesia),

Poor Enayla....well, I have this theory about what influence the thoughts of people towards a single person have, like the more people respect your work, the more it empowers the meaning of your doing and the sensation that it is full of purpose and so forth.....now how are you going to deal with the entire CG community having a crush on you! HAHAHA! Not that I need to repeat this, but I always firmly believed, that the art of anyone is an extension of the artist's entire style, visually and physically as well as the consistency of this style within each element of the human's body....that would imply that I'm already dead...hmmm....so let's screw this theory and swing to another possible conclusion: You're spending way too much time infront of a mirror!
