I've been following the Blu-Ray technology for a while and it actually looks to have real promise. Especially so with so many of the BIG boys (Hitachi, LG, Pioneer, Sharp et al) agreeing on this standard. Thanks for the heads up on the consumer unit...truly dream world as far as my pocket book goes tho :wavey:

Geeze, I was just getting excited about eh possibility of buying a DVD burner. I can't keep up.

Speaking of next generation storage disks, what happend to those hologram disks that were supposed to be able to hold a hundred gigs or something ridiculous like that? I thought they were supposed to be out by now?

Iīm still getting used to DVD. Iīm pretty impressed with the quality.

I donīt believe people will buy a new DVR player only because of itīs specs.

Itīs too much consumism.
