I remember seeing a tutorial somewhere, where they used after effects and lightning to "zap" text ... so to speak.

Basically, the lightning branches were "attracted" to this text object. I cannot find this anywhere. And I cant seem to figure it out on my own.

Help! :)

What I am trying to do is setup a dvd menu that has several spheres (as buttons), when one is moused over/highlighted, it's zapped by lightning... the lightning begins off screen and grows towards my object, eventually surrounding it.

Any help, links or whatever whould be great. Thanks.

I think the only place I remember it from is my total training dvd.

but if I remember it shouldnt be so hard, the lightning branch ends have attractor markers, that can be keyframed.
