adding item marking menu (RMB-hold)

if you download zooObjMenu (http://www.macaronikazoo.com/mel/download/zooObjMenu.zip) you can do it. it has a readme file included which takes you through what you have to do to get it installed.

if you install it properly, then when you re-start maya, you should have a new menu item in the right click menu that says "new cmd...". select it, and it will open a dialog to let you add the command to the menu item, and change its name. if you want further help, check out the support forums (http://www.macaronikazoo.com/forum/) at macaronikazoo
