i was impressed !
makes me want get my hands dirty in XSI !I thought the timelapse Liv modeling was good...( im a modeler) but i dont think its neccesary to show a paint based sculpting tool...unless you scripted it yourself ? ...id imagine a tool like XSI would have that included ?

more timelapse rigging !!! :bounce: and more snazzy renders

good stuff

Hi there!,
the reel looks very nice,:applause: I agree with that realtime sculpt tool...it looks like a tool u coded instead..... hmhm.... also maybe I'll fade off the music sometimes for a voice over comment...or insert in the video some explanation text...etc.....;)
will you release an hi-res version?

cya!

Your rigs are exelent. I love your use of blend shape (if Im right in saying its blend shape) great use of shading and lights in the angry head..

I couldn't get the link to work on my Mac using Explorer, but got it to work in Safari.
Funny how one browser works sometimes when another won't.
Nice looking rigs there.

Heya,

Looks like you have a pretty good reel put together there :) Just a few comments and suggestions with a character td reel:

if you can, add some more animated poses into the reel to show the character under extreme stress...it's always good to see how the envelope holds up in that case!
the enveloping on the Tolon character seems a bit soft..jiggle looks alright, might want to dial it down just a tad...and I noticed when twisting the forearm that you have some bicep influence being pulled as well.
cool script you got, nice the way you set it up showing it in action.
with the heads, show off some more stuff than the transitional rotations...if you can, try making facial rigs for them of varying complexities...the models definitely look cool but if it's a character td reel I'd focus more on the deformations & application of rig/control structure.
timelapse is nice, I like that it's not insanely fast like a lot of them I see...might be cool to see a bit of a closer view of the custron operator window or the synoptic ;)
That pretty much sums up what I got so far..keep up the good work man

hi really nice reel. Im not a softimage guy yet! but looks good. personaly i think the face stuff is nice but i would have put it at the end. seeing the nice rigg setup is more exciting and also i agree with MEL some more extreme poses would be better.

just one question i'm a Max TD however i was wondering what you used for Muscles in softimage as i'm thinking of jumping ship soon so i'm trying to get some more info?

cheers

Hi bloggs,
thanks for your compliments.
I explain my dino rigging: the rigging started on two weeks and 1 mounth to refine. The main structure is divided in 4 control layers: Implicit Control for animation; Muscles System with relative flabby, breath and tails controls; Skin with separate clusters with relative weight maps to subdivide deformations.
No cloth but just script sping.
I hope to be understandable!

Wow, great work.
But, for the movie, why do you put a window inside the window? the animation seems stuck inside.
I don't think it's a very interresting artistic idea. You're doing great job, so lets us enjoy it at full size, don't try to hide it behind borders...
I think your work will be stronger then.

best regards

Matt
