I am havings some probs with creating points on splines within small distances, and it occurs in R 8.5 as well as in R9/9.1:
1. I am using the standard units Meter. Created a Rectangle Spline, made it editable. Activated the Point Tool(point level editing).
2. In Front View, zoomed in as much as possible on the upper rightmost cornerpoint(the start and endpoint of the spline).
3. With snapping off and with the Add Point Tool I am trying to add a point on the rectangle spline at the distance off 2 units from itīs corner. But the new point snaps to the corner of the rectangle spline. After several tests I found out that the fifth point apparently cant be created closer than 4 units from the corner point off the rectangle. But, when the fifth point is created, one can create new points anywhere between this fifth point and the corner point.
Sure I could move points to the wanted position, but I would rather be able to create them where I want them. Have I missed something in the configuration settings or what?
