Hi there,

Does anyone know how to unhide only specific hidden polygons?
Right now I am modeling the inside of the mouth of a head. And although is helping a lot to hide the head and half the mouth, often I need to unhide only the hidden part of the mouth, not all the hidden polygons.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

what's the problem ?? You can hide/onhide polygons, name your polygons selections, etc etc ... The buttons are into the stack (edit poly), not the same as the interface, that's all.

Yes KiboOst, I guess your suggestion is the most convenient thing to do when needing to be selective about what set of poligons to hide.
I have been doing this for some time already. And although helpful, it is not quite the same thing.
It works like backwards. Because once you have already hidden most or all poligon sets, you still cannot be choosy and say: "I ONLY want set #1 to be unhidden". Unfortunately, and apparentely one cannot do this, even when you have named selection sets prior to hiding them.

For those that don't know how to name a selection set, simply select that group of poligons you want to be in your set, then while they are selected enter a name for your set in the area called "Named Selection Sets" (see included image), then hit enter. That's it. Next time you need that group to be actively selected all you do is go to that feature (Named Selection Sets), click on the right little triangle, it will show you all the sets you have created, you choose the one you need selected and that's it.
I find it super convenient and helpful.

I imagine it would be possible to manage it with maxscript . . .
