I have been looking for software that you can type then when finished with the note or thought working on hit a hot key and saves the note as a card and asks for a name for it (some notes can be many pages long). The (character sketches, etc) note card is saved within the program. Then contiune writing more notes (character sketches, etc) and save. And add pictures to the note(s). And be able to print and/or view everything out as one file (or print to PDF as one file).

I have downloaded one software Pepys (a WikiWiki hypertext) but would like to find out about others.

As this subject is new to me I hope I have written enough for others to help me

final draft allows you to make notes, but it does not allow images.

springboard allows you to make storyboards and enter text. you can move the boards around without much trouble and will allow you to do your storyboards/images at same time.
other than that you may use flash or even powerpoint.

sometimes you have to get a little inventive to do what you want.

Thanks Big Jay:thumbsup:

Springboard looks pretty good and thanks for the tips.

I was thinking are there any free forums software like the one used here at cgtalk that you can keep on your computer instead of making avaliable to the internet?

Instead of posting to the web keep it in a folder on the computer and set it up for writing - index on left and the post heading on the right. and start posting to yourselfhttp://206.145.80.239/zbc/images/smilies/smile.gif - start writing a scene draw and image in your favorite program or on paper and scan in and upload it or insert to post. Create another post about a character do some drawings insert them - link to posts with info about what your writing about. Just one long series of posts - and have a print friendly button and print to pdf the whole collection of posts - would be nice to print all posts where ever they where posted and print to pdf and a save as rtf.http://206.145.80.239/zbc/images/smilies/cool2.gif

dobermunk I did a phpbb search and this link shows some templates that are cool

at top a drop down menu select style - did not look at all templates but did see these which I think is cool

can a phpbb be used on your desk top or laptop - most of the information says needs a system server?

I found a freeware that let's you import rtf with images and when making a new node allows import of images called NoteKeeper

Does not have spellchecker I tried the free WordWeb and it works on highlighted word
