Hey there. I'm not sure what robot you are talking about, so I'm not sure what style you are trying to get. But I think they look pretty good. The model is good enough that I assume you want stubby, otherwise you could lengthen the fingers.
But heres some advice. The fingers look like they may be a little too squared still, especially on the bottom and at the finger tips. The knuckles may bee a little too pronounced, but that is just a judgment call.
As for the gloves, try putting some seams around the fingers, and in other places, where you think a glove would be sewn together. You might be adding that as a texture though. With all the detail in it, it might not hurt to have it in the mesh. Also, I've seen those type of gloves often have a hole cut in back of the hand, and some smaller ones where the knuckles are. Just suggestion. Looks good though.

-the fingers are a little to "box'y"

-try give the glob more volume...

please dont change the fingers. Its pretty obvious that they are "boxy" on purpose. this is, after all, a robot. i would like to see a buckle on the glove. something that says "this is a glove." good stuff.

I don't thihnk I'm gonna make them longer cause I want a big strong hand, the kind of hand that can crush a skull.

this is the "robot" more lie a soldier.
What's a "glob" ???
I gave some thought to putting holes where the knuckles are but that would turn it into a cliche.

Thx.:D

GREAT IMAGE!!!!

as for the hands... they are really well modelled.... the only thing i noticed was that the thumb didnt seem to rotated enough.. it should be at a 45 degree angle to the other fingers (hmm not a great explanation!) lets see from the top u should be able to see more of the thumb nail where as at the minute from the top of your model you see the thumb sideways on .... anyhu ... great model :)

Ahh, that robot. Well I think the hands suit it just fine. I agree about the glove-holes being cliched. Looking at your model, though, I'm sure you could come up with something that could make them origional. Knuckle spikes? Metal plates on the back? Pads on the palms? Wires? Torn holes? If you want something to jazz them up, those are just suggestions.
