View Full Version : a hopefully easy-to-answer parenting problem :(
PeaceOfMind 09-14-2002, 07:42 PM Ok, this has always been a problem that's plagued me and some people have it and some people don't so I dont' get it. When I parent an object to another object and try to rotate the child, it STRETCHES. I've always sort of found a way around it...but its really frustrating for this simple boneless character I'm making (I just want to rotate a foot parented to the shin and it STRETCHES). Can anyone spare the time to help me out please? I appreciate your time, thank you.:hmm:

oh..and its in maya btw :P
I've noticed in the past few hours that the child tries to follow the scaling of its parent, so I tried deleting construction histories on everything..and still same problem. sigh.
