Not sure what you mean by "stroke" but have you tried the new ink 'n paint material? You can have all the edges black or if you just want the border of the cube outlined black just have outline checked.

No I haven't tried it. Where is the material located? Thanks.
It sounds exactly what I am looking for.

Open the material editor, click on the standard button and change it to ink 'n paint. Also look in the help file under materials for some more info on it.

For those without the ink and paint material - you can get pretty close (profile lines only) with falloff maps. Use a fresnel shader and adjust the gradients in the output map to make a harder edge.
Good Luck!

xilica just lower the opacity on your material.

I lowered the opacity, but the result is a clear cube. How do I get it so you can see the inside of the cube?

Check 2 sided to get the same effect.

looks kind of familiar. hehe
if the falloff isn't working for ya, you could always turn on your old trusty SNAPS and put renderable splines on the edges.
