hey fellas, im doing the subaru tutorial i saw in the tutorials section, everything seems awesome so far, but im having one small problem.

im at the point where i am connecting the hood and the side fender. i moved cvs around untill the surfaces were almost tangent, then i used global stitch to complete the process.....

im happy with the way things are looking in the perspective window, but when i render it i get this..

what else do i need to do to make all the surfaces tangent all the time?

thanks in advance,

sedric

If you are making a realistic car, the place where you are stitching would actually be seams, or gaps, wouldn't there? Your problems most likely come from the surfaces you are stitching arent the same. The isoparms either dont line up or they are paramaterized differently. Read up a little on rebuilding surfaces, that may help you a lot.

Good luck

here is a picture of the hulls. the spans of every surface match, and they are all 0 to#of spans......is there a different way to make this jont and have it work?

hey sedric

if looks good and renders shit:
try to crank up the tesselation of all the surfaces

(select surface/open attribute editor/
tesselation/ check "displayRenderTesselation"
on/ under "Advanced Tesselation" check
"EnableAdvancedTesselation" on/
then pomp up the value, pomp up the value,
pomp up the value - dance dance...)
