wolf_akamartin 02-13-2005, 11:54 PM hi all i was wondering if someone could help me. Im fairly new with modelling hair. I dont really want to use a plugin in because i cant afford to pay out, so im after a way of modelling hair an easy but effective way. The character that i have is a woman and i want her to have thick lond blonde hair. I followed this tutorial http://www.comet-cartoons.com/toons/3ddocs/hair/ but its not really giving me thick hair. Also i would like th ehair to sway in the wind. any advice

Hi,
This is what you're looking for. Eventhough it's a LightWave based approach, the same technique can be used in almost any other 3D software package.

use more planes over each other, or use cyliners, and map the hair on that, it will give it more volume
