I noticed you answered a few of the particle problems in maya pretty well and i seem tobe having similar problem, i need my particle instanced geometry to collide.I know u use the particle events but i thinki need to write a mel scropt for it to work??
andy ideas wot the mel script might look like, any help would be great!!
thanks alot, sorry to PM u like this, hope u dont mind!

jonathan :)

Hi, sorry for my late reply, it's been a long time since i don't check private messages. Well, of course depending on what you have to do, you don't always need to write mel scrips for collisions, not even collision events but as I said it depends on what specificaly you have or want to do.

It might seem a very simple example but if you take your particle object and shift-select the object you want the particles to collide with and go to Particles>Make Colide and then instance your particle system with any object, they will collide.

I'm not sure of the kind of effect you wanted or maybe still want to achieve so all this might seem to be quite vague.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask, I'm always glad to help as sometimes I need help too :) and...I don't mind...I'm MIND, hehehe ok...bad joke I know.
