Well my fellow C4ders, now is the time to vote on the final story ideas.

I had to postpone posting a poll because I was e-mailed from someone saying they would need some time to get their story together to post, so I tried to give them time, but I think it's a hoax. So we continue on...

Here are all the stories I received or was posted on cgtalk

1) Have a traveling salesman going door to door trying to sell stuff out of a box that says on the side ' If you need it, I have it to sell' Alot of quick shots of doors slam in his face, then when he is setting at the steps of one door he says "Just once, I wish I could sell something!" The door opens behind him, and the devil pokes his head out with a smile. The camera iris into the mans face with a worried look and you hear a devilish laugh when it fades to black.

2) In a factory big gears steam grime...
there is a construction line of little robots bolting together undiscript bits of metal. we centre in on one robot a little out of time with the rest. the screen goes blury and we are on a beach with the aforementioned robot (in board shorts) with a cute little girly robot walking down the beach. BANG! we are back at the factory our robo has stuffed up his bolting, he panics and grabs it from the construction conver belt, in the process launching it into big machine... The robot chases drops and looses and finds the bit of metal all over the factory all the while it keeps getting bits added bolted welded painted etc to it. in the end it pops out of one machine he cahcthes it and it is a copy of the girly robot from his dream (perfect or banged to gether from bits not sure) she picks him up and carries him out of the factory to the music from officer and a gentelman...

3) I do think something about a blind dog running into things, chewing on things it shouldn’t, and doing funny stuff that would be stupid even for a dog. Would maybe have some humor to it, I don’t know. Its kinda controversial so maybe the dog would have been just temporarily blinded by a camera flash or something...

4 I vote for a combination of (Hitchcock) and (Comedy). I like the genre(s), and it has the advantage of using an off-camera narration which could save on a lot of lipsynching.

"She strolled into my office like the first cool wind of Fall. My jaw dropped to the floor, and my cigarette to my lap, as I took a gander at her two globes of glamorous glory. The rest of my time with Billy Venus was just like that--Billy looking like a million bucks and me stampin' around tryin' to put out the fire in my pants."

5)Well, how about a mini docu-drama of rejected 3d actors and their lives and the problems they face in the industry and out. (not sure if this has been done before?)

An example, if you put a very bizzare, star wars type alien, have him speak in his alien tounge, titles of what he is saying in english on how he is waiting for his big break, then show him working in a McDonalds drivethru window, not being able to communicate with the customers, still in his alien tongue, then clip jumps to a human that wasn't modeled correctly, maybe his rigging doesn't allow for his eyes to fully close and it creeps out the director in a test shoot.
(A few characters of different types that could live on the island of misfit toys - ahem, misfit 3d LOL)
I could even see a model ( In black silloette )that puts in a couple of jabs at Hollywood on how actors are afraid that virtual characters will take over their jobs, and make the characters shape look like Dr Aki.
A way for different styles to mesh in one complete package and be as funny as, well... you know.

6) Have a behind the scenes look at a roadrunner/ wiley coyete type of cartoon and show that the cartoon characters don't get hurt in the movies because they have real human stuntmen fill in at the last second (with voice overs to avoid lip sinking )

Well, here they all are ( I think ) If I missed your suggestion, please post in this forum so we can vote. This time the voting will be finished on the 21st, so vote soon.

To avoid any more possible hoaxes, if anyone directly e-mails me with suggestions on the project, I will post the e-mails in the forum so everyone will be aware of any and all ideas.

Thanks guys and gals, I have high hopes that this will be the beginning of something great!

It was a toss up between the little robot and Bill Venus. I chose Billy - but would be happy with either.

Ladies and Gents...
We have a winner!!!!!

So, now we need characters. ALOT of characters!!!

I will work on a storyboard and a final script these next few days, but just to get the fun stuff going, we need submissions on some character designs.

I will get a new Post started and try to get Rick to make a sticky so we don't have to search thru the site to upload images and such.

Thanks for the imput of everyone who voted and is interested in the project.
When we get the project complete, it will only be because of the efforts of this group, so lets do it up good!
