hi pros:
i am a maya/shake user, my question is, wht software/plugin do u use to make depth of filed in post-production if it is a maya rendered file having z-channel? i know i can render with depth of filed in maya itself, but its a time consuming process and needs lots of trial and error. i was wondering, in the industry, if there is any standard software is there to do it in postproduction.
shake z-blur/z-defocus does not work with maya z-channel and i tried a free maya z-blur plugin for shake from highend3d.com, it was good but did not give professional quality.
any information will be greatly appreciated.
