View Full Version : stretching the bonus tools stretchy ik

anyway, I created a simple stretchy ik chain with Maya's bonus tools. Works fine, but it only streches a short length. Is there a way to make it stretch farther?

tried nosing around in the setup, but I am only slightly familiar w/rigging and I just needed something simple.

hi nix,

I donīt have the bonus tools installed on the computer Iīm sitting on right now, but if I remember correctly, you can adjust the "stretchyness" by go into the attr.editor for both effected joints in the leg. Then adjust the limit info on the scale-y axis of the joints.

Hey thanks, that was it. Can't believe I missed that, I swear I looked in there. Oh well works now.

I haven't tried yet, but do you know if you can do a stretcy ik to a 'spline ik'?
