oppss nice work:) i llke that cloth...
congratulations.....
Nice piece. however i don't agree regarding the table cloth. I think it looks too much like stucco, way to hard. I would soften it a bit as i don't think such a classy place would have such corse table cloths. Could be wrong though.
Nice none the less

it seems to me, (not sure) that there is something very strange in the perspective... if you see the upper parts of the stairs, it's impossible to see th table like that, nor the upper part of the "hot thing"... maybe I'm wrong, because usually computer don't do perpective errors... but maybe it's not all modelkled, and ther can be errors... anyway, cool lighting, and the off white is "clean"...

Beautifull image and a very good texture on the cloth although I think the bump is a bit too strong.
 Very royal style great work:thumbsup:

overall quality of this piece is really good. i agree that the table cloth may be softer.
and one other thing. its not that important but is there any connection between that empty dog kennel (in reflection) and content of the meal? sorry, im just kidding. http://cgtalk.com/images/smilies/grin.gif (edit: i didnt realise that this "kennel" was actualy part of the bowl and not the reflection ;))

yeh i know what you mean, the image in the background seems to be leaning forward a little, and also as said the bumb on the cloth (although very nice indeed) is a little too brash for the scene. other than this its a great image and looks good. the client should be happy with this indeed.

Buen trabajo! :) Estoy de acuerdo en que deberías reducir un poco el bump de la tela.
Muy buen modelo!
Un saludo!

I like this concept and idea very much, the colors are very elegant.
For perfection I will change a little bit the position of the first 3D plane to the photo background.
You can't see the first plane this way and it bother with the background.
I will change a little bit the bump maps on the table cloth and make the shadows minder grey
and nobody will see what was photo and what 3D :)
success with this project
Cath

I play a little bit with photoshop to show you in 80% what I mean exact regarding the colors
of the first 3D plane.

Overally it's nice. But if it was supposed to render kind of a "real look" where are the chairs? Where's photographers reflection? Looks like the restaurant is more luxury and I don't think they would not accept so crumpled and rough table-cloths...

it looks to me like it supposed to be a "beatuy shot" for the restaraunt such as they would used for advertising or something. So in that cas, the photographer would definitly have been photoshoped out.....and chairs would not be in there if the photographer did not want them. Just a very controlled studio type shot. I agree with the changes that Mec4Deth did and think you should do that. Also I think the chrome reflections look wrong. Unless I am mistaken, the rounded lid would distort the reflections alot. Unless this was intentional for some reason or another, that doesn't seem right. It almost looks like you are looking into the lid instead of seeing reflections
