Hi saint,
Please excuse the cheap shot but if thats all you've done in 2 days it's no wonder you haven't gotten it to work yet:-) A little more info might help. Do you have MB standard or Pro? What else have you tried? That might give us a place to start.
Post back when you have a chance.
Sam

Hi Sammer (http://www.cgtalk.com/member.php?u=77084) ,

Im am using MB6 Pro and I just wanted to know if all the merge options I selected are the right ones for importing takes as i am trying to follow the Blending Takes issue 2 VTM from 3Dbuzz but cant seem to get beyond the importing of 2nd take.

As the first take appears to loose its animation but the second take is fine. I cant go any further with the VTM utill I sucessfully import both Takes with animation into the seen ie (1st = H_LookAround & 2nd = H_Stand2Run) from the MB cilp mbart cd.

I hope this is more info for you to get a better feel of whats going wrong in my countless atemps thus far.

Thanks in advance for your help Sam.:)

Hey Saint,
Don't thank me yet, I'm willing to help, actually being helpful is another thing. I'm sure you've tried all kinds of different combinations but have you tried changing everything in the element column to the apend option? I only have MB standard here so I can't try myself and I'm sure by now you know the manual says pretty much the same thing for 'Open' and 'Merge' without really saying anything. What I get from it though is that 'merge' replaces like named elements and with 'append' elements with the same name are not replaced.
Wish I could actually be of help.
Good luck
Sam

Ive solved the problem at long last it was a testing problem but now ive found the solution. So now I can move on with the tuts phew http://sv1.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif .

It was to do with the settings on the merge dialog window settings, all is working well now.
