I am trying to create a good backround before continueing on the whole drawing but I am having some real trouble here.. Should I change back to the old pictures size and should I maby start over again whid the backround?

I tried to mirror the whole picture and it did feel a whole lot better, exept the moon, had to mirror that one in the moirrorer picture :D
(I guess your familiar to the concept of reading a picture like we are reading a book from top left to bottom right)
Anyhow, nice colors, maybe a wee bit bright and happy for the motive.
The only thing that bothers me is the vehicle/dragon that needs either more space to show off some more shape, or insane detailing and rusty texture or something.
Its a great concept that falls a bit flat right now :)
But Cheers, and good luck!

Alice: More detail is on the way and the final Image will be mirrored, I have it like this beckouse itīs more easy on my hand :/ ? :)

It feels like I have ruined it..

Hmm only tree comments yet so far... I would love to here what you got to say about the drawing so far.,?
I think I have fixed the one thing that really was screwing whid my eye whitch was the tank behind the chair. (It is a first aid kit for the dragon) http://www.cgchat.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif
I will keep detailing.
(sorry about the bad English)

going nice so far, nice texture too on the portion behind the cockpit.the sky could be done better, especially the clouds:)
02-23-2005, 01:35 AM
ms@zx: Thank you! I will have a look at the sky and see what i can do, Skyes and clouds isent my strongest side... specially dayskyes... damn hard, But what can I do? add more dark areas and more detailed highlights maby?
02-23-2005, 02:54 AM
Hey Cranknus, beautiful work going on here! :D My only crit at this stage would be to maybe pull back that shine on the glass in the lower right. It distracts a little from the main focus of the image.
02-23-2005, 03:03 AM
hm.yeah,u could actually add some gloomy clouds, hmm and some highlight as well as some shadow tone for it..somehow,it doesnt have to be entirely blue for the sky and the ocean.a little greenish blue for the ocean perhaps?just a thought:)
02-23-2005, 12:07 PM
erilaz: Thank you wery much!
Actually I have allready removed the shine, Didnt like it so yes itīs pulled back :)
ms@zx: Thank you for the thougts I do really need them beckouse I am a bit blind for the moment as you probably understand. I will look up in my dictionary what gloomy means then see if I can put those clouds in. The ocean, yes I have actually tried whid more green but that failed in the picture at that time but I can try it again :)
