I want to give objects a very glossy effect like the images in this thread:

especially this one (lips):

How can I make parts of an object very glossy and the neighbouring parts dull?
Is it all a matter of specularity maps or reflection maps?
Can this only be achieved with hdri?
Can this be done with a single DGS shader?
Maybe someone can point me in the right direction on how to achieve this effect.
Thank you.
