Title: Winter
Name: Yvonne Power
Country: Canada
Software: Painter, Photoshop
I did this image a couple of months ago as a tribute to our first snowfall here. I did what i could in painter (the program kept freezing up my computer) but most of it was done in photoshop.

I want that whisper-thin cloak! Anyway, very nice bone structure, and the shaggy fur is quite interesting. Maybe a teensy bit more shadow under her chin and her left arm to add depth?

Beautiful atmosphere, very expressive. One little crit, the hand seems to be out of scale, that is too big.
Congrats,

WOW.. That's just plain beautiful - this girl is gorgeous ..
Gongrats, you've done splendid job with this one..http://cgtalk.com/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif
I don't have crits - maybe some suggestions, if you don't mind..
there's something that bugs me a little - her fingers (knuckles) seem a little off(pardon my english, it's been quite a while ...), maybe you wanna change that and make it more "feminine"..!??
I think you could use some more smugging at the bottom(that's in case you wanted to achieve mist(haze) efect, you could throw another 'more transparent' haze layer and make it blend gradually ..). If you weren't going for that, I believe you should make the coat just a bit more detailed down there(but not too detailed - let us stay focused on that amazing face - OMG I really can't take my eyes off her, she's gonna spend some fair time on my desktophttp://cgtalk.com/images/smilies/eek.gif )..
OK, time to stop gibbering nowhttp://cgtalk.com/images/smilies/smile.gif .
Now let's cut to the chase - PLEASE, I'm BEGGING YOUhttp://cgtalk.com/images/smilies/bouncy.gif , take another hour or two of your spare time and make it PERFECT, you're almost there...
Keep up the good work, you've got what it takes..

yvonne: "...I did what i could in painter (the program kept freezing up my computer)..."
dunno what kind of pc u have but...try it:
1.turn off impasto effect (the small blue star in the right corner)
2. delete from time to time the painter.ssd file in the painter folder (this file contains the recorded script stuff and it saves all sessions in that file)
3.delete the paint brush file from time to time in the brush folder. (this file contains brush effects like impasto and co)
! before u delete these files, make a copy !
dunno if that works with painter IX @ 2. and 3.

The colors of the character and the background really fit together, looks very realistic as she would be really there!

Amazing!!!
Clear pose, static but with so much mood. The fur rocks.

It's realy realistic! perhaps that the fur should be still worked and
and a little snow on the down of its dress .
Besides nothing to say!

I like the depth of the scene, and the sharpness of the main figure compared to the background.

nevertheless, I like both, but I think this picture is a bit more mysterious, natural and at the same time romantic. I love the dress. With two contributions that are both great, I really can't wait to see more! Bring it on!
