Roberto - Should this topic be number 250?
Both "yep...it's a guy" and "Make it more sinister" are numbered 248.

Here is mine, based on personal experiences... one of those experiences that were painful in that moment, but that I enjoy remembering now... I don't know if that makes sense...

maybe 2h... I don't really know, ...this one is my very first contact with Painter and I've lost a lot of time trying to guess how did things work in it... what kind of brushes do you guys use in painter? after trying a lot I've ended using the "tinting" ones, and managed to find a way to make the rain with palette knifes and other tools...

I haven't used painter in a long time, but when I did, there is a really cool brush called the "Sargeant Brush." (a la John Singer)

Absolutely lovely work, everyone. I've been totally pulled into the sketch forum on cgtalk - thanks to all the innovative, wonderful ideas. The topics are great, everyone's images are so unique and inspiring :]
Yes, awesome :]
Anyway, here's my own contribution to this thread - took me about an hour, an hour and a half, in Photoshop using my my wacom tablet.

Am I the only one that finds tired and wet to have very sexual connotations?
maybe its just my mind.

bobtilton and enayla great work!
(btw bobtilton, your name reminds me of a friend who was very much into the small emocore band from nottingham of the same name... of course taken from the preacher, i remember helping him screen print t-shirts for the band, rather nice they were... i think i still have one somewhere).

Hi smurph! When you attach an image it only shows up as a thumnail in the post. To get it to display as a full image, you need to link it via your own host (or a free public domain one), through the tags.
Nice sketch, by the way!
good work everybody!!!

Some great ideas here. Welcome back, Teagan. :)
Ditching restraint is easy, obscenity only lies in the eye of the beholder.
But for the clean minds: She just got back from a dive, and is taking her jet powered water boots off, they fit with a pneumatic pillow and are toe controlled. But even with all the gear, a day of diving is exhausting.
Painter cintiq 2.5hours (trying all sort of futuristic mech designs+final), 15min Photoshop.

great fun exercise, attempt at constructive comments:
-crazy3dman, cool contrast but i kinda miss the contour of the back of the head, maybe the change in paint strokes could be clearer to define the volume.
-bobtilton, great style and design but the sense of scale seems to disappear with the big
ripples in the lake, maybe the 2 people as scale reference isn't enough.
-Enayla, wow don't have to repeat all the praising, genius skin shading, but one thing,
eyeleashes do stick together when wet (great detail) but here it looks too prominent, maybe
smaller or less dark.

If someone who can draw faces could give me som critics, and a guide to face-colors, it would be great:thumbsup:

Great work all. I've been away for a while, sick in bed: you know all that. I'm still feeling stoned, an incapable state of mind to sketch I'm afraid.
Just noticed that Linda Berkvist joined our little corner on CGTalk. It's an honor :) I love every single piece of you Linda, you are an inspiration to us all, I'm sure. You probably are going to take every "sketch of the day/week" there is :D

Aw, chucks, you guys! I'm happy to be here, and I'm having oodles of fun with these threads: I can't believe I didn't find this little corner of CGtalk before now!
I'm so totally knocked over by this thread - I wish I had the talent to sketch so 'loosely' and intuitively as most of you guys do. It's difficult letting go of the perfectionist in me, and stop before the sketch becomes a painting. I'm hoping to learn that here :]
