View Full Version : One shader to all, then back!
elvis75k 02-10-2005, 10:23 AM I need to render my scene with two passes.. one is a siple beauty pass and the other is done by replacing all the shaders in the scene with a surface shader with ambient occlusion on the color map. I'm very frustrated, becouse i have now 2 scenes: one for the beauty pass and one for the ambient_occlusion.. I like to get a script that assign the occlusion shader to the geometry and when i need i can reset the original shaders.. Hope is clear.

In maya 6.5 there is one fancy layer option to set all the meshes unshaded: this assign a single gray shader to all.. I've echo all commands on the script editor, but nothing good appear into.

afaik there is a render passes script on highend that can do what you want.
but still render passes is something that maya needs a LOT work
