Hi

I am trying to load a tga sequence into the 'file' node of a shader.
maya only seems to accept this format: filename.tga.[####]

Is there a way to make maya accept this format filename[#].tga?

I have tried to rerender the file in aftereffects but it always gets rendered out as filename.tga.[#].tga (AfterFX puts the tga extension on automatically)

Maya does not seem to be accepting mov/qt files rendered from AfterEffects either.

Alternately does anyone know of a file renaming program to do the trick?

:D

Sequences like filename[#].tga should work. Did you try using a movie node?
As for a file renamer here's a link http://www.1-4a.com/rename/rename-history.htm , never tried this one so I'm not sure how good it is, just do a search on google ... if you need another prog (and don't find it on the net) let me know, I'll send you one that works very well.
Here's another link http://renameit.hypermart.net/

Hope it helps.
