Hi,

I know we can make panorama and object QVTRs. But can I make QVTRs with own camera
paths or do I need special authoring software for this?

I guess you want to be able to make a interactive walk inside your scene? Shockwave can deliver that (You need Macromedia Director).
If you only want to connect several Qtvr's into one presentation (going from one pano through a hotspot into another etc. There are several options. You might wanna checkout VRworks: http://www.vrtoolbox.com/vrthome.html

thanks for the link odo. I don't want to make walkthroughs but I want to move the camera
around my object with custom camera paths. The QVTR settings in C4D allow only circular
paths with start and end angles. Are there any alternative solutions beside QVTR? Oh and
if possible a cheap solution?

QTVR is simply a flipbook animation playing back as you "navigate" around the object or turn around inside the pano. QTVR does not support custom paths, but if you know a little Flash Action Script you could set one up yourself in Flash.
