just j/k

well... sorry but the old inverse volumetric lighting effect on text... it's a bit like lens flares in lightwave on the amiga... and before that teapots or reflective raytraced balls on checkerboard planes. it's just that every single trailer example from activateyourimage.com seemed to be the same thing... it's really not their fault though... just the clients ("Well... er... could we have something a bit like <insert any movie since Alien or Superman>, then i think we can get like Barry White to do the voice over... only... hey like wow! can we turn up the bass on this thing some?")... nicer site though than picturemills.

PS: do you go to Academy of arts?

nope not at the academy (wish i could take the time out and do something like that to really hone the skills).

out here in the joyous world of corporate graphics right now... :hmm: thinking of changeing direction to a more 3d orientated side of things... but the freelance rates here in san francisco seem to be pretty low (i've seen people advertising for graphic designers at as low a rate as $25 p/h  ) seeing as i was earning $400 per day if i was just doing powerpoint let alone set visuals/after effects/concept/logo/print/3d/video editing/web/programming when i was in the uk... hmmmm.... well i shall have to see... unless people can convince me that 3d graphic artists in the us are earning a decent wage i may stave off the idea of putting more resources into this...
