View Full Version : Alpha+Mask Problem DF4.03b BUG!?
ratsbot 02-08-2005, 11:22 AM Hello,
i'm currently training the courseware 1 series and i've got a problem with the .dft files provided with it.
When i attach a loader with a dft file which has an alhpa channel DF shows the correct result.
But when i save the flow an load it another time all alpha channels are missing
Nearly the same thing happens by masking. After loading ALL!!! masks are moved to new positions so i have to move them again to the correct positions.
Does anyone have a suggestion how to fix this Problem?

Hi Ratsbot,
A bug like this would have been squashed a long time ago... they're now on 4.04e. Are you using the downloaded demo version?? I often use 4.03b demo at home and have never seen this problem. Try downloading again and re-installing ;)

I had this bug as well. All the masks and merges were shifted around after loading the flow messing up the comp.
While not fatal, it was annoying. But they fixed that (IIRC in 4.04c), and I've had to problems since updating.

The only suggestion I can give is to try working through the Courseware with the Eval version of Digital Fusion, and not a cracked version.
The problems you are seeing are a result of Digital Fusion's own copy protection, and only occurs when the copy being used has been cracked. This is definitely not a bug. You might want to check where this copy of Fusion you are using came from, and if it is a legit copy please contact us at tech@eyeonline.com so we can get these issues resolved for you.

If you want to have a correct alpha channel load *.tiff , *.tga or other formats that support alpha.
/ you can rendered *.dft file in *.tga with alpha channel / .
