i dont like to see someone puting some effort into somthing and getting no replys... but its hard to comment apart that the 1st one looks good, good lighting, but if the ring that red ? i havnt seen the movie...maybe put the ring in the fire wen gandalf tossed it in the fire to test its authenticity... nice dof :)

Yes its a good start, put more efforts on the compositing.

Think the best way to give it more life would be to get hold of a digital camera and get a nice hi-res shot of a old wood, the rest seems solid enough
