Great work mates :)

This is my first entry to the Daily Sketch Group.

Painter 9 + Wacom tablet, 1 hour and 40 minutes.
http://www.home.no/medusamusic/ugla.jpg
It is (supposed to be) an owl playing whit a red ball. For me owls don't seem playfull.

the BG got kind of rushy, and I could have drawn it better, but that would probably take me a day or two :/

Well.. uhm:

http://img215.exs.cx/img215/7986/weirdowl022oa.png

He isn't colored because somehow the colors went all weird and greenish when I was coloring the sketch.

- Painter 9
- Tablet
- 2 hours (mostly for redrawing those darn wings)

@Lady Medusa: Nice eyes! :)

@DreamMaster: Nice, I do like it! :)

@others: great sketches/paintings!

Dolnferno -- Sorry to hear about your dog. I know I'd be a mess if my cat died.

The Ton -- Thanks, mate! You just gave me a hell of an idea. I'll try to post it tonight and refrain from making any jokes about sticky wacoms. ;)

Aardbei -- About your surprise grays, I don't know Painter IX but I have similar problems with Photoshop if the setting "slips" from Normal to Luminosity setting. Cool pic, though. I love his eyebrows.

That's a great concept! I think I love the cat in the background even more! (or is that an Owlcat?)

yea i like the concept too. Unfortunenately i messed up a bit, imho too many styles; it doesnt blend in very well. But that's ok, i learn a lot from this. :)

Whee, awesome owls, everyone. I have a thing for owls - they're such gorgeous, strange animals. Also - a topic that makes me think of Twin Peaks is always a great thing.

I've caught a horrid cold, so I've lost my voice and I have nothing much to do. End result - sketching like a madwoman. This one must've taken something over an hour and a half to make (maybe almost two, I don't know, I have no idea of how you guys can keep track of time while you're painting.), with most time used to make iddy feathers and such. Not an original concept, but, yeah, I just wanted to make it :] (Mostly adobe photoshop with the feathers around the neck done in painter (I so love liquid ink)

http://www.furiae.com/images/theowls.jpg

Have now sketched enough to last me through a couple of weeks, ha ha.
