How do I make energy beams, basically making a beam that looks like a lightsaber beam. Thanks.

Darnit, it blurs, but it blurs the whole image, not the cylinder..

1. Select the "Pixel Selection" Tab

2. Uncheck "Whole Image"

3. Check "Object ID"

4. Specify Object ID number, let's say 8

5. Hit the "Add Button"

6. Make sure the cylinder has its ID set to 8 by selecting the cylinder and then rightclicking on it to reveal the Object Properties Dialog. Where it reads "Object Channel" - set that equal to 8

7. Render Scene

That should do it.:)
