View Full Version : Rigging: Adding vertex and bone

After a lot time painting weight for binding in the upper part of character, I notice that the knees's bone are misplaced. :cry: Can I move a bone without repainting everything? can I also add vertex?

i would suggest
>>u export the skin weights to a directory.
>>detach the skin
>>edit the bone placement
>>reorient the joints(for the leg skeleton that u have edited)
>bind the character again
>>importweights back to the character
>> Add the vertex required
>>and paint weights only for those new vertices..
Hope i m right...but this is what i do if i run into a problem like yours..m sure others will have better solutions...I would love to hear them too!!
