i made just a sample image trying to demonstrate the effect i'm trying to achieve here.. i'm using AE 6.5. here's a 3-part image showing a rough idea of what i'm going for..

i basically want this harsh (But somewhat soft) blob to fill up the image (or rather, eat away at it is the effect i'm going for). basically as if the image were burning up, but with no flame or anything like that, just dissolving away. i really don't know how i should go about doing this..any tips?
