I need help with Xpresso editor, I'm looking for an setup which will get data from a sound file and transform it to animation of selected parameters, for example, displacement waves or their high value. Anybody could help?

I think Srek have a SoundNode setup. I haven't tried it myself, but it is said that the original SoundNode is somewhat "jerky" and that Srek's setup dampens that a bit.
The next release of CoreParticleTools from CoreArsenal is meant to include a better soundNode and a pro version called Response is on its way with even better control as I understand it. In waiting for that I use trapCodes in AE in most cases (like LED's following music etc)

Cheers

I can't help you personally, but you may want to visit www.corearsenal.com and more specifically http://www.corearsenal.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=184

this may be an answer to your question

This is a citation as posted in a german forum, sadly i dont know the source, but its how it works in Expresso:

" I don't know any examples. But it is not that hard to use.

Create a sphere with an expresso tag. Drag the sphere to the xpresse manager (select animation refresh in Xpresso manager: calculate->animatio refresh)
Now drag a sound node to the xpresso manager and select all export nodes. Connect a result node to all 4 export nodes. In the AM select a wav file. Connect a time node to the sound time input port and play the animation Watch the results nodes. The length and samples port are static, the left and right are dynamic. You can use these ports to shape you're object (in this case the sphere). Select the sphere and select the scale input port (coordinates->scale->scale). Now you can drag the left output port on the sound node to the scale input node on the sphere and play. Depending on the wav file, the deformation will be big. Therefore add a rangemapper node between the sound and sphere node and select the lower and upper input values (in mycase -1500 and 1500) leave the lower and upper output values to 0 and 1 resp.
So the basic Xpresso setup is:
time:time->time:sound:left->input:rangemapper:output->scale:sphere
