OK! I´m in!
Let´s see what you think about this.
After the BIG ONE all that was left were scraps from the shattered human civilization and the invading force of Nach-du-na.
The attack came about 15 years from now and lasted for 1-1.5 years. The present date is 2186, 184 years from now.

The engeneer who built this machine got hold of some Nach-du-na technology in the form of two Anti-grav generators, a reactor of some sort, (we think it´s some sort of hypercharged Holmium-plasma) and legs from a construction vehicle. The rest is human standard parts of steel beams, a car seat, a swamp boat fan, controlpanel from a helicopter, a three barreled gattling gun (not vissible yet) and some asorted junk. Everything is powered by electricety so it´s very quiet. (when gun isn´t in use).

It recently lost it´s third owner and stands abandoned on a hillside waiting to be found by it´s fourth owner. It´s surpricingly easy to learn how to fly this thing. A-grav units set the hight and the fan how fast foward and the rudder right/left.

It needs some dirtying up and some more details and some more dirt... and some more details... like a huge backpack, the gun, a flightstick... and some other stuff.

You should try using NURBS to avoid those really sharp corners you are getting - remember, in real life nothing has such sharp edges. I think that would improve it's look and make it more aerodynamic.

Well thanks for the input! :)
The sharp egdes is there because I´m using polygons to rough model. The intention is to smoth everyting out in the end.
This thing CAN´T be aerodynamic! And it´s not inteded to be either... The guy who built this only wanted to get something that would get him of the dangerous ground.:D
This inpires me to get going with this thing.
:D

aaaah... I see now.
Well, it certainly does look like it could get him off the ground, at least. I like the claws - did you get the idea from the droidekas in Star Wars (Ep 1)? Yoiu aren't going to leave them yellow are you? It would be cool if you made them quite damaged and rusty - to give the impression that the inventor made tham from scraps that he found. Just a suggestion :D

The claws are not intended to "come" from anywhere but my disturbed mind but there is probably an unconsious link to the droidekas... or something else... dunno.
I agree that the clean easter yellow dosn´t really fit a post-nuke vehicle... The thought was that they might come from some sort of construction vechicle or something that needs to travel through very uneaven terrain slowly... cunstruction vehicles are yellow. :) But they will be painted with a more appropriate color later on.
Let there be more dirt! and there was dirt!

Oh cool! I actually wondered if it was a construction vehicle look. And yes - LET THERE BE MORE DIRT!!!! You can never have too much dirt!

..I´m hit! No, you you must go on! Leave me behind... I´m done for. just remember... *cough* as long sa you practice you will win one day... Now go! finish that model... get going... I´ll be fine *cough* *cough*...

Speakers Voice:
Knowing he would never have time to finish his contribution, Henrik Hörlin withdrew fron the febuary WIP-contest. Just after he was rescued from CERTAN INSPIRATIONAL DEATH! he was to have said:
-"I´m not retiering for good. Just long enough to recooperate from this dark page in my life. There is tonnes of inspiration on the CGCHANNEL but it dosn´t make a difference if there isn´t enough time. It´s my own creative energy that is drained, (boring job, educational worksamples and some sad famely buissnes).
I´ll be damned if I won´t win at least one of these contests.
Best!

And the Oscar goes to...
