View Full Version : Little problem with Brush tool

Hi there C4Ders
I seem to get some unpredictable behavior using the brush tool.
I set the mode to "Pull" so it's supposed to pull the points (in this case) towards the camera of the top view.

in the image, the brush was applied in the "top view" (top right).
but the points move in other directions too.

I've not looked into this fully but it seems to me that the points are pulled towards the active camera, in 3D space. I think what you need to use is the surface or normal setting.

Hi,
You will have to use the perspecitve view. Currently pull will only use the real viewport camera.

Just a thought. If you put a target camera into your scene and set the X and Z coordinates to 0. Your plane will be parallel to the camera plane and so the points will be pulled perpendicular to the surface. You can just change camera when you need to.
