Hi,
Just wanted to share you this little Mel that speeds up reference images importing. Instead of create lambert shader > create a file texture > browse to get the right file > create a plane > get back to the image > get size ratio > back to Maya to resize the plane > rotate it ... NO!
Use it : http://ndhaussy.free.fr/melScript/importModelingReference.mel You should put it in a self button.
