I have this weird thing going on with a simple shader I am using. It is applied to a robots leg, with the 3D placement node for the fractal parented to the relevent geometry... All is well, untill I mirror the geometry for the other leg or arm..

here is how it looks applied to a sherehttp://www.craigcrane.com/3Dworld/ok.jpg

And this is how the shader appears with the mirror by adjust the group node to a value of -1 in the X.

I have tried to root around the hypershade, but the fractals and the placement node values remain untouched. Geo normals are normal.... and its such a nagging little gripe that I have decided to throw it open to you guys..

Hi!

Ive no idea, i've tried to recreate it but it looks ok on mine. Maybe post the sphere scene.

try to reaply the shader to the mirror sphere, to see if the problem persists?!
also, i think you need to make the mirror using the Duplicate Input Graph or Duplicate input Connections.

totally sorted.....

After scaling in the x to Neg 1, I grabbed all the 3D placement nodes in the HyperGraph, and then in the attr spread sheet ed, I gace them neg values as well..... and the detail in the shaders popped right back.

ah yes, the 3D placement , needs to be with the negative value too.:)
