View Full Version : Image Blur + Object blur occurs Eploding geometry?!!?

me again,..
just wanted to ask what u say to my strange problem..i just tried object motion blur..i activated the obejkt MB in Objekt parameters (character_mesh)
then i left all as it is and rendered..
at some frames the geometry "explodes" (vertex stretching arround)
when i turn off image motion blur in renderdialog it works(just turned on objekt MB in renderdialog)
is that normal that bot togehter wont work?i think i read something in the help..

I'm thinking this problem could be caused by a rotation controller being used on your geometry. If your geometry is rotating in your scene and you are using a Euler rotation controller you will get subframe keys that will also get the object motion blur applied to them. This is a particular problem when using Reactor as it will create keys on every single frame. (not to say that you are using Reactor.) Try changing your rotation controller on one piece of geometry to TCB and then render a few frames with the object motion blur turned on and see what happens. Hopefully this will fix your problem; I've had similar problems before and this seemed to remedy the situation. If not I'd be happy to check out your scene.
p.s. trying to dig out a script that allows you to select all objects, run the script and it converts the rotation controller to TCB automatically. I'll continue to look for it...until then maybe someone knows how to script could post the code.

i learned from your reactor tutorial u sent me via messenger :-p
to my motion blur problem:
i have some wireparameters and stuff on my rigs..i think all with EULER rotation controller.
i dont use reactor here..?
what u mean with :

i renderd an walkcycle with objekt blur activated(in renderdialog and objekt properties)and i turned off the Image Motion Blur..it worked fine for me..
but i need a Motion Blur to the image also (image MB) , cause i will move cameras a lot;-)
so is changing my Euler rotation controller to TCB the solution or can i activate another Image Motion Blur? wast there somthing in camera paras?i will read the helpfile.
Would be nice if you tell me how YOU do it.You know iam looking up to u ;-)
