Hi folks,
I need some advice from you guys - I'm pretty new to the whole thing. So I'm doing a short film for university - the setting is a forrest and I have several cartoony characters (like the cow in pic 1). I have already setup the ground with several paintFX and a sky dome, as well as camera on a motion path. The ground is textured with a layered shader and I also want to add some paintFX grass later.
Now my problem. I haven't found a good light setup yet that gives me bright colors of ground / charcaters / paintFX as well as some nice shadows. I tried severals mixes of ambient and directional lights but I can't get a satisfying result. Has anyone a decent solution for this kind of scene?
Here are the pics...

Thanks in advance...
