chuckmoser 09-11-2002, 11:51 PM Well, here's my sketch. Probably won't follow this exactly as there's a few more creative things to add in to make it a little more "invented". Just using this as a start. Hope the schedule will allow me to finsh this one.

HAHA. wow, I can really see the animation of this. The pole vault really catapulting him way, way over the bar he was aiming for.

Mikael & Virtuoso:
Thanks, guys. I'm trying to get around to starting on this. Wish I was as talented at modeling as you. Hopefully some day.
Maybe I could do a simple animation about a sumo wrestler in ancient Japan that keeps getting his butt thrown out of the ring, and, exasperated, notices other japanese athletes doing track and field sports. He decides sumo wrestling isn't for him and gives a few of the track and field sports a try, but ends up getting hurt (Warner Bros. style) on each one... pole vaulting, hurtles, long jump, etc.
Yeah! That's it! Now just to learn to animate overnight. :)

uh oh.. looks like we're both modeling sumo wrestlers... diffrent sports aparently.. but now we're gonna have to compete with each other for the best looking sumo guy...*sighs* your gonna kick my butt. hehe. i love your drawing though. did you take classes somewhere or is that just a natural talent?

monotypic: Wow. We are both doing Sumos. But, you're way ahead of me because YOU'VE ACTUALLY STARTED. :) Maybe I could yell copyright infringement since mine was posted first. heh, heh, heh.
Yours is looking great!
-for your question: I could always draw. I've lost a lot of it in the last few years since I've been doing mostly graphic design stuff. *sigh* You gotta go where the money is.

hehe.. yeah.. for some reason the only sport i could think of involved sumo's.....period.. everything else was just blank...does that say something about me?

Not much to look at yet, just getting started. I'm just going to model him in the pose he's in, no bones since I'm probably just going to finish this by the hair on my chinny chin chin.
