Hi All,

While the release of 4.5 is definitley exciting...for me (a student), not so, im just wondering (hopeing) if there is going to be an update or re-release of their VERY popular PLE that will include some of the new stuff???

I really hope so ;)

Any info would be greatly appreciated :)

Cheers

PLE will most likely include SubD's... but the new fluid effects are doubtful

many of the features that Maya Unlimited has, are slowly being moved over to Maya Complete, like SubD's, with Nurbs and SubD's, i'm going to throw poly modeling out the window..

but sadly, the fur, fire, water, fluid effects will still be exclusive to Maya Unlimited... but those tools just make certain effects easier to do.. but, if you get good with the particle system, or the paint system, then you don't need to use them =)

and the PLE 4.5 will have a much less annoying water mark... :)

MadSheep,

Are you a Maya employee..??? I hope so, because that means i can start gearing up for a cool, new, Watermark-less version of PLE.....

Cheers :)

i dont work for Alias, and i also heard about the less-annoying watermark... the watermark is STILL THERE... it is not a watermark-less program, just less annoying.

i wish i worked for A|W... well... no i don't... i'm no computer programmer... ;)

but i have just done quite a bit of research into 4.5 Complete and i saw the 4.5 PLE on Tech TV the other night, it looked like 4.5 Complete, i didn't even see the watermark.. unless of course he was using 4.5 Complete and Leo got confused

i know. but there will still be a watermark, though less annoying, and that info is not exclusive to A|W employees.... and I said the same thing about fluid effects!
