View Full Version : Jenna V222
R1PPER 02-02-2005, 01:53 PM Hi everyone...just picked up 3DWORLD 62 (Alot better than it used to be)
Would really like anyone who has used Jenna before to post some examples of what it's capable of...and maybe some min Tut's so that us Jenna Noobs can get our heads round the plugin and understand what it is capable of. Failing that i guess ill have to read the manual. :D

Place any object as a child of ITERATOR and start pushing buttons. :) That should get you started.

I have not seen how core packaged jenna for the mag, but there are likely some example files included. If there are not, go over the the core forums (http://www.corearsenal.com/forums) and I think they may have some Jenna examples posted somewhere.
As far as the reading the manual...unless there is a new version, it will only be somewhat helpful - the old one was a bit esoteric.

Jenna is deep water. The deeper you go, the more you see strange worlds.
reading the manual and opening all the files that come with it should help.
Man, you got it for free...
Open any primitive, give it a good subdividion, and make Nickl a child of it. Then push the play button of your timeline. Or go manually from frame to frame and use "Current State to object."
Etc etc...
But read that manual. With Jenna open. And try what is written.
Jenna is high end.

i love this plugin...slightly surprised corearsenal are giving it away.
not sure where that leaves me with my R8.5 version 2...hopefully there is a good upgrade path to J3 for existing users?
either ways its a great plugin....should be native c4d imo.

apparently there will be an upgrade path to jenna3 for users who actually bought jenna - but people who get it free will need to pay full price for jenna3

Check out Kent Oberheu and Semafore.com (http://www.semafore.com/) for nice examples of what Jenna is capable of in the right hands.

I think Darf mentioned that J3 was planned for sometime around April.

Learning to use Jenna? Like all of Darf's wonderful toys you must plan on spending time playing. The more playtime the better. I've never understood how Darf comes up with some of these products but they do create some amazing results.
But you have to do the time if you want to understand it. I'm still tinkering with CPT and finding all sorts of things to do with that! I would have never imagined the possibilities just by looking at the description on their website.
