the textureing and lighting are nice, but the texture is much too low-res to used for closeup. I can see it pixelate in the foreground.
The fakeness of the water really detracts from the rest of the scene.

i agree about the water, and also it looks sorta like theres a spotlight randomly shining on the other side of the little pool thing, or maybe emmiting from it, but it doesnt look like it belongs, but beside that an over all great pic

thanks yes I know the water does need alot of work... but to answer the comment about the spec... I was trying to make it look like there was light coming through the clouds down into the courtyard.... hence the reason I broke up the spec and light with difuse.

i mean, if it is day time. no matter how dark the shadow is, we should be able to see things clearly

I'm curious about the sky and clouds. It looks like the light is falling off way to rapidly and does not quite mesh with the lighting for the rest of the scene.
However for only 3 hours worth of work GREAT JOB.
