Title: Ford Mustang
Name: Dan Haga
Country: United States
Software: Rhino

A custom 1998 Ford Mustang similar to my own. Lots of time modeling in Rhino and a little time playing with HDRI and materials in 3DS Max 7.

Nice work on the material, but I think the green on the front may be too much.

Thanks, Its just a very simple linear gradient map material

Noty a bad wee model, but the shader lets it down,
The green needs to blend more with the rest of the colour and be toned down,
also the lack of reflections leaves it looking quite flat.
Keep it going

The green is the specular color for the specular halo. It is nice to see a car that is painted with a more interesting paint job. It is tricky playing with the specular channel like that. I have made a noisy specular channel and then used it for a metal flake paint simulation. Great work. Mabe add more metallic properties to decrease the size of the halo.

the green isn't the spec, its difuse, thats been mapped with a graph where the colour of the paint can be changed in relation to the angle of the surface to the camera.
I used it on this car here:
