View Full Version : Animation: Splash one Mig
evandavies 09-11-2002, 05:11 PM Thanks everyone for your great comments.
Unfortunately due to technical limitations Chris can no longer host my anims :( (thanks Chris for your help) I am trying to get my own site setup but that will take awhile yet...
So the anims will be offline for awhile...
I'll be back soon hopefully

explosion, smoke and fire are exelent!:buttrock:
just the debris are pretty flat and triangular, makes it a bit unrealistic

Nice animation, good effects. . .
Overall, I think your lighting isn't helping your realism out. . . it seems like an odd night/day scene. . . I can't quite figure it out.
your effects are good, I would just thin out the black smoke a bit. . . it's very thick, and stays very thick. .. I would probably start it off as thick as it is, but disperse it more rapidly.
Nice work though.

That's awsome. There's nothing that I could see that really jumps out as being fake. I think if I didn't know what I was looking at I wouldn't assume it was fake. Good job!

very nice work with the explosion.
Although, I did notice that it kinda explodes in two stages...two little flashes. It makes it look like the missle cut through the back end and then came out the other side before detonating.
Other than that, very realistic.

Great explosion, fire and smoke (maybe a little too thik)
I'm most impressed, that you've got that fast render times, just great, i know aftervburn, and it can really kill your computer very fast..

I think it looks very nice, only thing I would say is it all seems to happen in slow mo.. I know its far away but still a missle would travel very fast towards its target, a lot faster than the plane is flying. Good stuff though!

Great stuff Evan :scream: I think the missle speed is fine as they're both moving at relative speed to each other.
Cheers,

Very very nice, I like it a lot, only thing I see wrong is that I think the black smoke should remain in the air longer after the explosion.
Beautiful realism.

Man, great job. It looks awesome.:applause:
it looks real to me.
:)
the only crits is i can clearly see that the missle trail (smoke) flickers after it hits the MIG.
is that rendering artifacts?

i agree the smokes a bit too thick and the fire is too bright other than that almost looks like film footage
