I finally decided to start the challenge this afternoon...
never too late...I was not sure I was going to do it !!!(got a huge ton of work U can't even imagine) :thumbsdow

I decided to do the concept I didn't wanted to do...

"The Tower Surfer"

btw, yep squarish=cubic, but I think it looks much better now, except the nose which needs a little more attention imo.. but it depends on how you wll stage it and how much time you have ofcourse :)

This is great. I love those expressions.
I got an idea about his board. What about attaching that tape they use on skateboards to the underside of his snowboard. It might stick him a tiny bit more to the wall plus increasing the friction so he just wont fall. Maybe irrelevant, but anyway.

Have you thought of how to pose him so you get the right mix between falling and surfing?

I can really see the animation of this what that great framing of yours. Hope to see some before the deadline. :)

btw I tried the blurred character...but as everything was blured with DOF I let him like this...I also didn't bend him as much as you said...but a little more than before...

I think you did right when you didn't blur him to much. I think the smoke and fire at the end of the board adds alot to the "speed feeling" anyway. better then blurring the characters, at least in a still image.

Moi aussi je voudrais une version perso steup...C'est sympa...Alors! Y'aurait lui qui serait pousuivi par des helicos de police et y'aurait des explosions de partout. A la fenetre de l'immeuble, y'aurait une nana qui se dessape et y'aurait tout les Oiseaux de "For the Bird" sur les fils a linge qui chanteraient "Surfin'Bird"...Alors la y'aurait Schwartznegger qui déboule, avec son gun y fracasse les oiseaux, aprés y saute dans les helicos, un par un,, il dit bonjours a la dame en passant devant la fenetre, et la il rattrape le Surfer et ils finissent tous a Chanter et danser sur le rythme d' une comedie musicale merveilleuse!
