hello im new here , im 16 from the uk ive been modelling 2d/3d art 4 about 1 and a half years, this is my 1st try at painting, itz a portrait of me , and it all done in photoshop with a mouse, c&c as much as u like

ps.: I never had a 'formal training' in art so, would you mind explaining the little 'palette/colour scheme' thing you have in your piece ? Do you create it while painting or you just took it from somewhere (experience,referencese or else) ? why are colours placed in three rows ? is it highlight / midtone / shadows values ? or maybe cool shadows / midtone warm shadows?

itz just a the tones of the whole work, i just ink them up and piant the image with them, after im only 17,btw i was 17 on monday, they are just a reference of the colour im using

not bad at all!! im more or less in the same situation as you... but i was 17 last sept :P but ur doing great for the first try.... on my first try nothing looked as they should.. :P but stop thinking ur only 17... if u keep compairing ur slef with pros... then u get better ALOT quicker!and also its great to see another young guy around here! :D
