Hi;

I am trying to get comfortable with xsi and i have this one little surely stupid problem.

when i scale one object i scale it by the multiples of 1. i mean i scale it half of its size or i double the size etc. But what if I want to change the object's size to an absolute value. For example I have a frozen cube of 3x3x3 units, and I want to make it 3x5x10. Where can I see the size values and ehre can I change them. How can I see an objects size at least?

Thank you for the time - I know it is somewhere and I just can't see it.

Cheers,

Emre

Select the object, and press enter. The only sizes you can change as far as I know are those in the proprety boxes.

but what if the oıbject is frozen? xsi gives me only the scale tool but i want to change the exact size not the proportion.

Well, if your cube is 1x1x1, you could type numbers onto the right transform scale bar, right? Sorry, I'm just a noob..

i mean i don't know the size of my cube because it is frozen - it is a mesh now. how do i know it is 3x5? and how can i make it 8x12,5 without calculating the scale multipliers?

Use the Grid as a guide and move the components, or make a new cube with the dimensions u want and use it as a guide to, then simply adjust the froozen one...

so you mean there is no way that i can see and change the size? awful man... i am totally disappointed. well thanks for the tip anyway.
